This is stuff that I’ve always wanted to know: All About My Vagina. Not mine; Sarah from British Columbia. I don’t know who she is, but she’s got a vagina and has lots to say about it.

2001-09-15T01:28Z (today at 9:28 EST) is when I saw my first airplane in the sky since those other airplanes crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. I actually saw two in the air in the night time sky , both in view at the same time. I wasn’t really worried. They looked to be too high for any collision course towards here. I’m sure I’ll set foot on an airplane again. But it was both peaceful and eery when there wasn’t any aircraft flying above. There were probably less clouds as a result but I wouldn’t have noticed. Things are slowly going back to normal in some ways and yet are about to change drastically.

I’m at the edge of my seat, as if this were some kind of movie. Except no suspension of disbelief is required. In fact, I have to be numbed by some disbelief. And if it gets crazier I may have to feel as if it’s not happening at all. I won’t actually trick my self into not believing. I’ll just leave the theatre and hang out in the lobby.

According to VirtualTourist.com, one of New York’s dumb laws include “The penalty for jumping off a building is death.” Is that a penalty or a direct result?

First, I’d like to thank Dave for making the Flip Homepage feature for Manila, the content management system
for this site, a one-server-trip process!

Okay, what I want to say is that, in the past 24 hours, I’ve encountered two instances where someone used the phrase, in lieu of, when they meant to say in light of. In lieu of means instead of, in light of means in view of. You can also use “because of”, “since”, or “after what just happened” in lieu of in lieu of. Come on people, get with it.

Yes, I know I’m a bit too anally retentive. So what?

When the Terrorists Attacked the USA - 2001-09-11

I’m writing this just after the USA has been attacked by means of highjacked airplanes. New York City will never be the same. At least not for a long time. It must be absolutely crazy there now. I really don’t have much else to say at this time. I’m waiting to see what happens next. Last I heard, there was a 6th highjacked plane in the sky, over Virginia. It could have crashed somewhere by now, Idunno. This is very disturbing news but as I’m up here in Canada, I don’t feel all that affected. Until a plane crashes into the CN Tower or something, I feel relatively safe. All in all, things are seriously fucked. Who would’ve thunk it?

11:40 AM

Maybe I’m a little affected. This hit a little to close to home. Literally.

1:20 PM

I wonder if the US government was expecting anything out of the ordinary. They obviously weren’t ready. But how much did they know of this? I’m not devising any conspiracy theory. It’s just a bit odd that something of this nature could have been orchastrated in complete secrecy.

2:00PM

I don’t mean to be inappropriately cynical, but I imagine that network executives are trying to put together a movie-of-the-week.
